Hobart Harmony, Tasmania’s only Sweet Adelines Chorus, is made up of around 55 women committed to the art of a cappella performance. We sing 4 part arrangements of classic and modern songs in both barbershop and contemporary styles, and perform with energy and flair!

Jenni’s Musical Journey
Jenni’s love for music and singing began in childhood, and her passion has only grown stronger over the years. She joined Hobart Harmony in 1996 and, by early 1997, stepped into the role of Musical Director. Under her leadership, the chorus achieved prospective status with Sweet Adelines International and proudly chartered in 2001 - a milestone that marked the beginning of an exciting era.
Jenni guided Hobart Harmony through countless performances, shows, and competitions, sharing the directing role briefly after welcoming her third child. Her dedication never wavered, and after a short break between 2010 and 2013 to focus on work and study, Jenni returned with renewed energy and vision. Since then, the chorus has flourished both musically and in membership.
A lifelong learner, Jenni completed the Sweet Adelines Directors Certification Programme and reached significant directing milestones. In 2017, she earned the esteemed Harmony 500 title, and in 2025, she achieved the accolade of Master Director 600. This distinguished status is a testament to her exceptional skill, artistry, and unwavering commitment to excellence, placing her among the most accomplished directors in the Sweet Adelines world.
Beyond the chorus, Jenni works as a clinical nurse educator in critical care. Her love of theatre and dance shines through in her choreography and showmanship coaching for Hobart Harmony. And when she’s not on the risers, you’ll find her exploring the elegance of ballroom dancing - a perfect extension to her creative spirit.
