Such a beautiful place to sing! St David's Cathedral was the venue for our end of year Christmas concert, and it was an amazing event. 

So wonderful to have the amazing Jo Oosterhoff coaching us again! She certainly packed heaps of work into her weekend with us - what a way for her to spend her birthday. How lucky are we to have access to such fabulous educators in our own country?  So much knowledge, and so much to learn! Thanks so much Jo and Sweet Adelines Australia xxx

Festival of Voices is happening, and we've had some great experiences so far! Last night we hosted a workshop called "Sing with Hobart Harmony", with over 20 guests taking part. So much fun! Next stop: the A Cappella Concert this Friday night at the Federation Concert Hall!

It was lovely to get the opportunity to sing and compete on the wonderful Federation Concert Hall stage as part of the City of Hobart Eisteddfod on Monday. The chorus sang so beautifully, taking out the Show Choir and Open Choir sections, as well as winning the Tasmanian Chorale Trophy for best a cappella performance. One of our small ensembles, Collab, also won the Vocal Ensemble section. Well done everyone!

25 members recently attended the Sweet Adelines Australia Festival in Adelaide, representing the chorus and performing three songs in the Festival Concert. The team did an amazing job, even adding an extra song with one day's notice! Well done to all who went - we can't wait to take an even bigger team to the competition in Brisbane next year!

Although this was last month, we want to thank our awesome Visual Coach Liliana Macarone! What an amazing weekend we had, finding the story in our songs, and allowing ourselves to tell it! Thanks Liliana, you are amazing!

Congratulations to Yvonne, our Sweet Adeline of the Year for 2022. Yvonne has done SO much for us, with great humour and tireless energy! We love you Yvonne!!
